The Culture

The best thing about working at CoraJohn is: The thrill of developing something my way and being secure enough to embrace and welcome other people’s ideas on how to achieve the same goal. The idea that if I/we don’t do the work this company will fail. Creating this company has giving me the ability to let go of fear and embrace the task of problem solving.
When we’re not working, we’re: Hiking a trail, on a beach, or looking for a great campsite or fishing hole.
What we’re reading: : Legacy on the Land by Audrey Peterman, The Maxwell Daily Reader by John C. Maxwell. The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin. I have a need to read multiple books at a time.
What we’re listening to: The list is way too large, but since you asked, old school rap, The Police, Tobe Nwigwe, as much Jazz as I can get. J Cole and the Alabama Shakes.
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called: It’s a family affair. Close is a understatement!
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because: We live on a beautiful planet. The outdoor space belongs to everyone and should be experienced and enjoyed by everyone. And I mean EVERYONE!!! Our natural world is very diverse with its many plants, animals, and microorganisms. Its only right that our interaction with nature reflect its very own diversity and beauty.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that: ·

  • That we continue to create and provide high quality products for your camping, hiking, or any outdoor adventure.

  • I hope that we can be an example of what a diverse workforce should look like.

  • I hope the outdoor industry will be far more diverse in its participants and employees of outdoor adventures.

  • I hope that we can all agree that love is love, and that we can respect our differences as much as we can our similarities.

The One-Year Goals

(What’s the company culture we wish to create?)

  • To be added later!
